Opening Ceremony March 1st- Prize Winners will be announced
Participating Schools: Coral Gables High School, New World School of the Arts, Design and Architecture Senior High, South Miami High School, Palmetto Senior High School, Coral Reef High School, Robert Morgan Technical School, Arthur & Polly Mays Conservatory of the Arts, Ransom Everglades, Our Lady of Lourdes Academy, Carrollton School, Palmer Trinity School, Westminster Christian School, Riviera Preparatory School, Gulliver Academy, Belen Jesuit Preparatory School, Christopher Columbus High School, and International Studies Preparatory Academy.
Hosted by the Coral Gables Museum Building’s 80th Anniversary Committee, this visual arts competition calls for works that showcase the beautiful keystone building that once hosted the Coral Gables Police and Fire Station and is currently the home of the Coral Gables Museum. Artists are welcome to consider all things associated with the building either as it was in 1938, when it was conceived, or as it is now – from the architectural, to the historical, civic and/or sculptural aspects.
All mediums and techniques are welcome!
A jury of qualified experts will determine the finalists and the three prizes.
Prize winners will be announced at the opening night, on Friday, March 1.
A Closing Reception will be held on Saturday, March 30 from 6 – 8pm.
