WHAT: 2 sessions with the theme of nature and the Everglades – 1 Zoom session and 1 face-to-face session. 8 adult students, maximum.
WHERE: Loop Road Education Center at Big Cypress National Preserve.
WHEN:
- Session 1: Zoom session, getting to know the participants, the instructor, and the materials. Saturday, September 19th from 3 to 5 pm.
- Session 2: Saturday, September 26th on location (Loop Road Education Center) from 8 am to 3 pm.
WHY: After almost two hundred years, the photographic image continues to evolve and to become increasingly important. This workshop gives you the opportunity to explore the meaning of photographs in relation to your own image-making…all while you connect with nature and the wonderful Rockland Hammock habitat.
PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH AND MATERIALS
- Use your sketchbook to create some observation drawings of things around the Loop Road Education Center. For example, unique trees, leaves, details of leaves.
- Find out about painting techniques and compositional tricks when working with a direct subject and with OIL PAINT.
