Miracle Mile: The Evolution of a Street

The development of Coral Gables’ signature street is presented through historic video and photographs. What businesses have come and gone? How have changing demographics and ongoing development shaped the Mile? What can the public expect from the streetscape master plan currently underway? This exhibit honors the movers and shakers of the street’s past and celebrates the vitality of its future. Curated by Coral Gables Museum staff with contributions from Wolfson Moving Archives, City of Coral Gables Historical Resources Department, Coral Gables Business Improvement District, Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre, History Miami, Ron Gabor, Margot Freidman, Judy Weissel, Jeanne Becker, Diane Brandt, and Burton Hersh.
